SILVINA BENGURIA

Silvina Benguria

Born in Buenos Aires and since 1965 participates in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, USA, Finland, Holland, Italy, Japan and Uruguay.

At 1978 won theFrancesco Romero's Grant given by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and the Argentinean Emabasy in Italy, moving to Rome where she lived serevral years.

At 1997 she was awarded with Pollock-Krasner Foundation's Grant.

Since its first mention in the Braque Prize in 1966, she earned several awards, awards, among which worth mentioning the the Bienal de Valparaíso's First Prize, the Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas's First Prize and the Boca 100 años' First Prize.

Her works are in the following museums: Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, Argetina, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Argentina, Museo Kilka de Mendoza, Argentina,Museo del Club Boca Juniors, Buenos Aires, Argentina ,Museo Rally, Punta del Este, Uruguay, Museos Nacional de Bellas Artes de Santiago de Chile, Chile, y al Museo Internacional de la Gráfica de Chillán, Chile, Museo del Barrio, New York, USA, Orangerie de Huis de "De Salentine" Museum, Holand and other museums as in Canada and Finland, etc.

Numerous critics have written about her work such as Carlos Espartaco, Rosa María Ravera, Guillermo Whitelow, Waldemar Sommers, Jorge Glusberg, Fermín Févre, Ernesto Schoo, Albino Dieguez Videla, María D'Adamo, Julio Sánchez, between others.

His works are in the permanent collections of major museums in Argentina, Central America, United States, Canada, Italy and Japan.
